Chlorine Injection Systems in East Jewett, NY

Chlorine Injection Systems in East Jewett, NY

When shock chlorination keeps wearing off, or iron, sulfur and bacteria all show up at once, continuous chlorine injection is often the answer. A small metering pump feeds a measured dose of chlorine solution into the line every time the well pump runs. East Jewett, NY Well Water Treatment installs chlorine injection systems for wells in East Jewett, NY.

A typical setup includes:

• A chemical metering pump wired to run with the well pump
• A solution tank with diluted sodium hypochlorite
• A contact tank or retention coil to give chlorine time to work, often 20 minutes or more
• A backwashing carbon filter to remove leftover chlorine and the iron or sulfur that dropped out

We set the dose by testing free chlorine after the contact tank. Too little and bacteria survive. Too much and you waste chemical and wear out the carbon early.

Upkeep is simple but regular: refill the solution tank, check the injector check valve, and test residual. We show you how before we leave.
